    Sweet tides,...

I'm Redtide -- Chief of the Raft tribe.

First off, welcome to these fantastic pages, set up by Surfsinger. If not for her, we wouldn't have this superb source of information posted in such a magnificent layout. *Smooch* You know I adore you, Surfsinger. ;)

When I first became a Chief, I had not played much in this tribe. Not many knew me at all when I ICly challenged RainDove for the Chieftain's Trident. I'll always remember those following scenes though, simply because they were so realistic - exactly how I'd see something like this happening. Although ICly Redtide had been a part of the tribe for a good 200 turns (off camera), he had never been this bold, nor did anyone really know the elf. What did he know about leading a tribe? And I know this must have run through someone's head OOCly as well: Who is this guy that makes Redtide a day before the Trident changes hands? From day one, we were all strangers, which only helped in the RP ahead.

Apprehension, doubt and even some hostility were sensed within the first few days of Redtide's Chieftaincy. But, time changed that. Redtide proved again and again, that he was willing to give his life to this tribe, to these elves with whom he has become so close. Time has given him something I hope every Chieftain gains: Respect, love and trust.

Behind Redtide is the player, the person that leads the tribe OOCly. And as that person, I am also grateful for the happenings through this past year. Yes, I've led this tribe for a whole year now and I am so proud of my tribemembers. The activity level of the tribe and how much fun it is to play with each and every one of them makes it all worth while. I've made some friends through this tribe, friends I now can't really imagine not having. I feel I am close to the players here, something I appreciate. I will always welcome each and every one of you into a roleplaying session, or even for just a simple OOC talk.

For you who are considering joining this tribe, this tribe does not consist of me and my work (or play) alone. It's how the tribemembers play and interact with each other, and how they treat their Chief ICly, that makes this tribe uniquely special. They will welcome you with open arms, as much as the Chiefs will. Page, +mail or email us. We're more than happy to help you start a character and join our family.

    Now, for my thank-you thing...

I'd like to thank Stormgrace and Brackish. When I first started out, these two helped me through until I stopped wobbling on my feet.

Stormgrace, you are the best IC sister anyone can get ever. Thanks for sharing your wisdom where my temper flew.

To SwiftTide, who is no longer with us: You are always in my heart, and I swear I am smiling now. ( <== See?)

To the rest of the tribe: Thanks, for following up on events and for excellent roleplay. You are the best tribe on the MU*, and I'm not biased! Really, I'm not... Ok, a little, but can you blame me?

    Redtide
